Renewable energy assembly
close to your market

In our more than twenty-year history, we have developed skills to design and open large plants at short notice and then run them with industry-leading levels of efficiency, with close to zero defects and 100% on-time delivery. We are now employing those skills to assemble mission-critical components required for the renewable energy industry. Our facility in Brantford, Ontario uses this experience to deliver high-quality assembly services for wind turbine components. We have the capability to rapidly design and deploy plants elsewhere in Ontario or other areas of Canada and the United States.

By utilizing our services you can capitalize on the Feed-In Tariff Program (FIT) administered by the Ontario Power Authority (OPA) which is designed to encourage and promote greater use of renewable energy sources including wind, waterpower, renewable biomass, bio-gas, landfill gas and solar (PV) for electricity generating projects in Ontario.

In order to take advantage of the FIT program a specified percentage of generation equipment needs to be comprised of Ontario goods and labour. These levels are known as the “minimum required domestic content level” (DCL) and are spelled out on the FIT website.

Automodular provides cost savings,
quality and experience

Cost savings: We have earned the trust of large manufacturers in North America to launch and execute major assembly programs. Our services have enabled our clients to achieve significant reduction in costs, allowing our clients more time to focus on their core activities. Our process engineers find efficient ways to assemble complex components faster than our clients can on their own.

Quality: Our work has a near-zero defect reputation. We achieve this using process failure mode and effect analysis. This allows us to break down our assembly process clearly in order to determine any potential errors. A dedicated team is also put into place to carry out cross-functional team reviews to increase the likelihood of eliminating errors. Quality assurance at the assembly stage prevents costly re-work to renewable energy components once they have been installed.

Experience: Automodular has over 22 years of experience in the sub-assembly and sequencing of complex and critical modules. We have an agreement with Vestas Nacelles A/S to sub-assemble certain wind turbine components for use in Ontario wind projects under the Province of Ontario's Feed-In Tariff (FIT) program. This work is carried out in a dedicated facility based in Brantford, Ontario.

  • 100% flawless program executions;
  • 100% on-time delivery track record;
